Growth rarely happens overnight. It happens through experience, education, reflection — and a willingness to evolve.
A few years ago, Angie stepped into ownership of what was then known as The Float Spa in Mitchell, South Dakota. At the time, the foundation was already in place: float therapy had built a loyal following, and the space served as a quiet retreat for many in the community.
Rather than immediately changing everything, Angie chose to listen first.
She spent time understanding what worked, what the community valued, and what had already been thoughtfully built. She learned the rhythms of the business, the needs of the guests, and the opportunities for meaningful expansion.

Learning, Growing, and Expanding the Vision
As the years progressed, so did the vision.
Through continued education in both holistic wellness practices and modern recovery modalities, Angie began refining what the space could become. Float therapy remained an anchor service, but the potential for something more began to take shape.
Infrared sauna sessions, massage therapy, sound healing, curated wellness products, and additional restorative offerings were gradually introduced, not as trends, but as intentional additions designed to support the body and mind in complementary ways.
The goal was never to create “more services” for the sake of volume. It was to create a space where different approaches to wellness could coexist, where modern recovery methods and holistic practices could support one another.
Why the Rebrand?
The name The Float Spa served its purpose well. But over time, the offerings expanded beyond a single modality.
The new name — The Healing Oasis — reflects that growth.
It represents a broader, more inclusive vision of wellness. Not medical claims. Not bold promises. But a supportive environment where individuals can access tools that encourage rest, recovery, and deeper understanding of their mind-body connection.
The rebrand is not just a new logo or color palette. It marks a renewed commitment to thoughtful growth, intentional remodeling, and continued education.
Remodeling With Purpose
As the space evolves, Angie is focused on refining both the physical environment and the experience within it.
Updates to the spa are being made with care, creating a calming, grounded atmosphere that reflects the expanded vision. Every addition, every adjustment, and every new service is chosen with the Mitchell community in mind.
This is not rapid expansion. It is steady, intentional growth.
Looking Ahead
The Healing Oasis will continue to grow as Angie deepens her education and expands services in ways that support sustainable wellness.
The mission remains simple: To provide a welcoming space where individuals can explore recovery, relaxation, and restorative wellness in a way that feels accessible and supportive.
What began as The Float Spa has become something broader, a place where wellness flows, and where both holistic and modern practices come together to serve the community.
And this is only the beginning.
